First, thank you all so much for being patient with us as we navigate these unprecedented circumstances. As we’re sure you can appreciate, we were waiting on directive from our partners – including Halifax Recreation – to make the final call on our May 2020 tournament.
With that, we received word this morning that unfortunately fields will remain closed until at least the end of May. While the cancellation of this May’s memorial tournament is difficult for all of us, we whole-heartedly agree with this decision as the health of our beloved players, coaches, referees, families, fans and volunteers is the most important thing at this time.
For teams that already paid for registration, we thank you for your support and will be issuing refunds over the next week by e-transfer.
This year is our 18th consecutive tournament. And while we cannot run our event as our usual spring tournament, we hope to make this year happen at a later date – however that may look. We will keep you posted as we navigate this process, and hope to see you later this year! Until then, please stay safe and stay well.
